INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BOOK DAY with ELMER
In commemoration of the birthday of Hans Christian Andersen, it is celebrated today, April 2nd International Children’s Book Day. It promotes especially the IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People)
For this reason we have had at home today tale tells session and a very cool activity ! We have chosen to ELMER.
After explaining the history of the friendly elephant, we made our version of Elmer. Very simple … with:
- Creer paper.
- A brush
- Sheet or watercolor paper.
The technique is very simple:
- Wet the sheet.
- Put the crepe paper.
- Another little wet
The crepe paper release its ink and is transferred to the sheet.
It has been great.
But watch… The stains are difficult to clean!
… And once dry!! To get the papers!!
And… VOILA! Elmer our own finished!!
Since they have not had enough I also wanted to paint.
Very happy INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S BOOK DAY!
